This type of therapy is often used in conjunction with cognitive therapy. It simply deals with teaching the patient to change certain behaviors in their life in order to change how they feel. Doing things differently, along with changing our cognition can be a very effective method for treating many problems. Behavior therapy is also used with children. Helping them to shape certain behaviors through a series of rewards is used with problems such as ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) and other behavioral problems.
